Look who won first place. And then proceeded to give a long interview, apparently.
The best part of this win is that I get $1000 and a big trophy.
Also, this is my last contest win ever, probably. I am not entering them anymore. The reason you enter a contest is to get representation, and I have that now. Plus, you don’t want to expose your screenplays too widely, they lose some of their value.
From what I’ve heard, the most valuable script is the one that hasn’t been read yet. Funny, right? For an agent to be able to say to a contact, “I’ve got this great script, and it hasn’t been all over town yet,” is GOLD.
